Harrisa butter bean hummus

Ingredients

  • Lima/butter bean 240 grams/ml
  • Garlic 5 grams/ml
  • Olive oil 30 grams/ml
  • Lemon 40 grams/ml
  • Harrisa paste 10 grams/ml

Instruction

  • Add your garlic clove (sliced or smashed) to a pan with 1tbsp olive oil.
  • Cook for 30 seconds then add your butter beans with liquid (at least half the liquid).
  • Cook that down until the liquid is reduced, should take a couple minutes.
  • Remove and add to a blender.
  • Add a heaped tsp of Harrisa and juice of half a lemon and some more olive oil. Season heavily.
  • Now blend until smooth. Consistency should be smooth and thick like hummus.

Extra Notes

  • Recipe can be done without cooking the beans down and all straight into the blender. The garlic will taste far stronger though.
