Cooking Time: About 10 mins total
METHOD pour 60g (a heaped 1/2cup) of porridge oats into a saucepan on a low heat. Add 120ml (about 1/2cup) of oat milk, or any other milk which takes your fancy, but be mindful of foodmiles and the carbon footprint of varying milks. Add 120ml water, or a little bit more depending on how thick you like porridge. You can also use more oat milk here instead, if you prefer your porridge a bit creamier. Sprinkle in a teaspoon of seeds - I used chia seeds here but any seed of choice works well! Allow to cook (should be bubbling a little) for about 4-5 minutes, stirring to make sure the oats don’t catch on the bottom of the pan. Once it is at the consistency you like, remove from heat and allow to sit for a few minutes. Meanwhile, slice up a conference pear into small cubes. Pour, spoon and scrape the porridge into a bowl, and top with the pear. Finally, add a sprinkle of cinnamon for that extra wintery spice 😋 If you like your oats a bit sweeter, a teaspoon of sugar can go a long way ☀️
